This film has been on TV a lot recently and I had completely forgotten about it — so here it is. "Love Sweet Love". This is the flute version; there was also a vocal version with vocals by Zoe Scott. I have no idea which version was used in the film and I cannot find Zoe's vocal version in any of my archives. The film is actually pretty good and Matt Dillon doesn't age. Like, at all.

Paranormal
On Netflix now. You're going to want to turn it off at around 2 minutes. Trust me. Vocals by Matt Kahn doing a rap in full London cockney — he's LA born and bred. His artist name for this is Winston Cartier and it is entirely his invention. On top of my track The Grind, used in a 'character does mad things in the middle of the night' scenario.
Also on the soundtrack but not used in the film: "Hey Now" from my good friend James Langford, who's straight outa South Central and is one of the sweetest guys you could ever meet. By far the best rapper I know. Ah the injustice of this world.

Phat — Non Stop (Liam Neeson)
Why anyone would want a track like this for a Liam Neeson Taken-type movie is beyond me. It must have something to do with the lyrics: "mister lover, lover, you thought there was only one Barry White, but there's another…" Far out. One of my best tracks yet — comes from an album called "Kill All Billionaires". Release pending.

Tracers — A "Parkour" Movie
A fairly easy job except for the fact that I went into my booth for 10 nights and blew out my voice. "We want Imagine Dragons," they said. Yeh, doesn't everybody. What the hell — doesn't anyone know the energy levels that go into a vocal like that? Anyway, I got one of three placements — "Hey Mister", used under who-knows-what circumstances.
Movies
Soniando — Dreamer
To show off the talents of my Beverly Hills mate Matt Kahn, singing in Spanish — his translation of a song written 22 years ago by my old flatmate Jamie Flynn called "Dreamer". I think it was used in a restaurant scene. I don't like the production much. Skip it. Matt sounds good though.

Check The Flow — Amateur Night
Just found a home in the movie Amateur Night. My friend Alicia Angeles on the vocal mic. I did offer to do a 'clean' version since it is an Ashley Tisdale movie and her fanbase are all minors. No dice though. Well, maybe they used the two seconds of it that has no cussing. If they can find two seconds with no cussing in it, that is. Still, nice placement. Thanks Andy.

Bong — Amateur Night
One of my madder tracks — two spots totalling about 3 minutes in the movie. Horrible track, but a nice appearance from my beautiful piano in the intro. She's a duesey.

Some TV
'NASA' used extensively for the Fox coverage of the World Cup. 'Mackintire' — the opening track on the Fatboy Slim episode of "After the Raves" on Netflix. 'All Day Dub' used on 'Social Fabric', Netflix.

Work Day Rising — Ravi Drums
A track for a conference in San Francisco and subsequent digital ads. A collab with Ravi Drums and Steve Wreck — both amazing. Ravi is an incredible performer and producer, killed it on this. I just played a bit of guitar, sung a rough chorus and "whoohoo" hook into an iPhone and he took it from there. Adding the amazing voice of Steve Wreck, who sounds like how I think I sound in my head — but even better. And he changed "woohoo" into "aaaahaaah", which is even better. This is what a vocalist is supposed to sound like.
